I have had so much fun with my primary company, Numis Network. Not only do they provide phenomenal leadership, excellent tools and an amazing product, but this group of people REALLY likes to have fun!

Just yesterday we got back from a free vacation we won through Numis Network. It was a 5 day, 6 night cruise to Mexico on Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas!  We had 150 Numis Network reps that won this vacation so we packed the boat!

In order to rehash to you just how amazing these vacations are and “spread the dream,” here is a video me and my husband, Ray Higdon, made while on the cruise…

As you can see we had an absolute blast and can’t wait for the next one! You can also see that I’m not very good and climbing up rope attached to a floating slide in the middle of the ocean ;).

We show you videos like this because we want you to recognize how amazing  your lifestyle can be with a little effort and consistency. One of our major goals for 2012 is to fill a ship with Numis Network reps on the next cruise/vacation incentive. In order to do that our teams will need to get into serious action for the new year.

How to Get on the Next Numis Network Vacation:

Here are some helpful hints to get into serious action for the new year.

1. Listen to your Numis Network Success System CD’s

I know you’ve heard listen to audio CD’s, work on yourself, read books, etc a million times. The reason all of the leaders hammer it home is because it works! Don’t be fooled, most gurus and leaders in the network marketing industry got there from having a mentor and pushing themselves to work each and every day on themselves to become a true leader.

We sometimes see the top producers and think, “I could never be them.” This is absolutely NOT true! leaders with Numis Network, or with any other company, always started out at the same place, and a lot of times they started at the same place you are right now.

These CD’s are amazing and help you become the person you’d love to recruit. If you’re not on the Numis Network Success Club autoship ($8.95 per month), you are not serious about your business and should change that RIGHT now.

2. Set Goals for Yourself and do Income Producing Activities:

Time can get away from us if we don’t manage it properly. Make sure you set goals for yourself, not just for the future, but one day at a time! If you want to make 5 calls today, make a time frame in  your day that you have to get it done. Same thing with blogging, emails, prospecting, presentations, etc. Daily goals help you reach the monthly/yearly goals you’ve set for 2012.


Many of my blog posts end with this step. Whether you’re prospecting for Numis Network or you have a personal goal (maybe fitness) for the new year, consistency will win every time!

A lot of people ask me, “Jess, how do I get leads?” Leads is the least of your problems if this is your question. There are 6 billion people in the world and thousands of ways to access them today. If you’re just consistent with ONE of those ways, you will build a huge business.

Entrepreneur vs. Employee, What’s the Main Difference?

Today I experienced something that most people go through every day, but just don’t notice and it caused me to write this article on the main differences between the successful entrepreneur and employee.

I tend to run into a lot of people from my “past life” (as I like to call it haha), when I was an employee at a makeup counter, and it’s always the same conversations. I want to share these conversations with you hoping that you’ll recognize the simple switch it that occurs to take your life from ordinary to extraordinary.

Entrepreneur vs. Employee Conversations:

I was Christmas shopping today and of course always want to visit my girls at the makeup counter at Nordstroms that I used to work with. I know how commissioned sales can be in retail so I always try and go there to give them the credit of the sale. I ran into a girl there that I knew and we started having a conversation.

Before I detail the conversation, please know that I see nothing wrong with being an employee. We need employees to survive and some people genuinely enjoy their jobs and I think that’s fantastic! I wish more people enjoyed their jobs, honestly! This post is for those that may hate their jobs and aren’t doing anything about it, or for current network marketers so you understand the steps it takes for someone to make the shift from miserable to successful.

Pay attention to what she says and the difference between me (the entrepreneur), and her (the employee):

Entrepreneur: Hey! How’s it going? I haven’t seen you in forever!

Employee: It’s going ok, same old same, still grinding day to day, how about you? I hear you’re doing really well?!

Entrepreneur: Oh my gosh everything is great! I couldn’t be happier, how’s work going are you guys getting busy over the holidays?

Employee: Sort of, but dealing with the customers is a nightmare sometimes. I need this job but in the mean time I’m looking for something else, I can’t wait to get out of here.  What’s this business I hear you’re doing? I hear it’s going well but I just don’t know if I can do it…

Entrepreneur: It’s going great for me, I can definitely give you some information on it if you’re interested, if not that’s OK too but it might be a nice alternative to working for someone else. The business certainly gave me the strength to get out of here and be happier and more confident, something I know you’ve been looking for.

Employee: Ya, I’ve heard about what you’re doing, but I need a steady income, and I don’t want anyone earning off of me or me earning off of them, it feels wrong. Also, don’t you need money? Well I don’t have any money, but I want more than this place just don’t want to take a risk.

Entrepreneur: Hmm.. ya maybe you’re right this might not be for you. You know I love you as a friend but until you want it badly enough for yourself and are willing to take a little risk to get a huge reward, I can’t help you. The system I use isn’t magic, you simply put in the daily work, and you get the reward that comes with it. If you don’t, you won’t. If you ever decide to try something out of your comfort zone I’ll be here to help you. Let me know if you change your mind.

Employee: Ok Jess, thanks. I really do want more money, time and freedom but I’m just not ready right now. Maybe ask me again next year.

Entrepreneur: Ok, I will 🙂

The Main Difference Between Entrepreneurs and Employee is MINDSET.

Mindset can make or break your financial success. If you noticed in that conversation, I italicized some words that my friend used that signify the mindset of an employee, but it’s not her fault! We’ve been trained our entire lives to think this way and it’s all we know until someone that TRULY cares about us steps in and changes that mentality.

It is your job as an entrepreneur to educate people you care about that there is a better way to live! The salesgirl brought up “steady income” and “people earning off of me,” when in actuality nothing in this economy is stable and you will never make it huge in life if you’re not willing to take risks, both financially and emotionally!

It is funny that most employees don’t think of the corporation as “earning off of them” when in actuality they are earning 99% of the profit on every single thing their employees sell! You can see here how the mentality is different here.

In order to help my friends, I always bring them little motivational CD’s and tapes (even if some of them aren’t ready to hear what they have to say). Some of them have joined me in my business venture and are on their way to retirement, while others are still miserable.

When I go to visit them “next year” because they “might be ready,” I guarantee most of them unfortunately will be in the same position and will not do anything about it. Sounds harsh, but if you stay in your comfort zone and are never willing to trust a friend that wants a better life for you, it will be a tough road.

Prospects sometimes will have this mindset cancer as I like to call it, and it’s our jobs to cure them only IF they are willing to help themselves.

I’m Starting to Get MLM Leads, Now What?

There are millions of pages out there about how to get mlm leads, whether it’s paid or free, but how many of them actually talk about what to do once you’ve gotten the phone numbers? Not many…

One of the scariest things for network marketers is calling their mlm leads and knowing what to say. Not only that, but they start to make up excuses not to call them because they just have no clue what to do next! I’m here to tell you that getting leads is super easy if you’re willing to be consistent.

If subconsciously you feel as if you won’t know what to do with mlm leads once you receive them, you won’t attract anybody to you. You will subconsciously self sabotage your business and let great prospects slip right through your fingers! This is a great formula to transform your prospects from leads to sales…

How to Transfer MLM Leads Into Sales:

What most network marketers don’t realize is that it’s less about WHAT you say and more about HOW you say it when you’re talking to someone. Whenever I call a prospect, they immediately get the impression that I’m not timid and mean business. I’m always extremely nice and caring on the phone, but I want to convey the attitude that YOU inquired about me or my mlm on the phone and I’m just calling you back to find out more about what you want.

Having the Right Attitude With Your MLM Leads:

Ok so you know you have to have the right attitude, but how do you convey that? The best way is to ask questions right from the start. Remember that the person who asks the most questions and talks the LEAST is winning the conversation. You never ever want to allow your mlm leads to take your power.

Here’s some great questions to ask:

1. When you first call say, “I noticed you were looking into one of my online pages, what can I do for you?”

2. Why are you looking into something different?

3. Are you having success in your current MLM? If not why do you think that is?

4. How much do you think not fixing the problem is costing you each year?

5. What has recently changed in your life that you’re open to a home based business?
Honestly, if you’re asking the right questions you will build great rapport with your mlm leads and will segue them right into a possible solution (your network marketing company). Your goal on the first call should ALWAYS be to get them to some type of 3rd party tool, unless they’ve already watched a video/cd/webinar, etc. Then the follow up call is when you get their questions answered and go in for the close…

How to Close Your MLM Leads:

This is simpler than people think. Most network marketers complicate this step because it puts them out of their comfort zone. In actuality you’re doing your mlm leads a favor by bringing them into your business. You’re providing them with awesome leadership, training and an unlimited potential income! Who wouldn’t get excited over that?!

If they’re NOT interested and are negative, NEXT! It’s NOT a big deal, just shrug it off, thank them for their time and move onto the next guy.

If they are interested, this is sometimes scarier than if they’re not because you actually have to learn to close them! Yikes! ;), If this happens simply say something like this:

“Bob, based on what you’re telling me right now it sounds like you’re ready to get started. I can actually take your information over the phone, it takes about 30 seconds and then you’ll be up and running right away! What’s your billing address?”

That’s it! Or you can say something along those lines. If you don’t know how to take applications over the phone or don’t know what information you need, I highly suggest learning or else you will lose about half of your prospects.

Sending mlm leads to the website rarely works because life gets in the way and they forget. I’ve had mlm leads tell me “Ok, I’m going to sign up in 2 minutes I’m on the website RIGHT NOW,” and then I never hear from them again, it’s just the name of the game. Always take a paper application unless the person feels uncomfortable.

Final Thoughts to Close Your MLM Leads:

Always stay in posture. What that means is no matter how negative someone is or how many questions they have, never lose your power over the conversation. If someone is drilling you with questions and calling your business a “pyramid,” they are just testing you. Most people don’t even know what a pyramid is so just keep your posture and keep asking THEM the questions.

The only way to get better at talking to your MLM leads and closing them is with practice. You will not get it right the first time,  or the second, or the third, in fact it will probably take you about 10 to 15 phone calls to feel like you’re finally getting the hang of it and that’s OK! Everyone started out the same way :).

How to Get Massive Exposure with your Network Marketing Company

The story of my journey with my network marketing company (numis network) will hopefully give you an idea on how to get massive exposure, therefore accelerating the momentum of your business and your brand.

I used certain stepping stones to get recognized with Numis and I know if you follow these simple rules you’ll succeed in the same way that I have.

My Story About My Network Marketing Company: Numis Network

Before I get to how I joined a network marketing company and got massive exposure, I want to talk a little bit about my background to give you guys an idea of how anyone in the world can follow these steps and be successful, even me! 🙂

I started college at 17 years old and wanted to become a veterinarian. I absolutely loved animals so thought this would be a perfect way to be around them ALL of the time! This was right before the major recession hit in our country, so naturally I had no reservations about going out into the “real world,” getting a job and working for 40 years and retiring with a nice wad of savings. Also, of course, I was hammered by my parents that the best, and safest thing for me to do is get really good grades in college and then follow the traditional corporate plan.

After my second year of college and still being a biology major, the recession hit and I began to realize that things weren’t that safe anymore. I also began to realize that my classes had absolutely nothing to do with real world experiences in business and running a veterinarian’s office. One of the questions I always asked myself is “Ok, let’s say I finish with all of this meaningless chemistry stuff (I hated chemistry) and become a vet FINALLY, how do I market myself? What would I do if I had no customers?” They never taught me this stuff!

I immediately switched my major to marketing and realized I had a real passion for it. I considered myself extremely creative and couldn’t wait to get started! Again, in my last year of college, I realized that I hadn’t learned that many hands on skills to take into the workplace. On top of that, no one was hiring for more than entry level pay and I KNEW my skills and work ethic were worth more than $8 to $10 an hour!

I had a huge problem. No one would hire a marketing major with no experience for a decent salary and I hated working for someone else anyways.

This is the moment I made a decision to take my life into my own hands and a network marketing company fell into my lap…

I was working for an insurance company part time as a receptionist when an amazingly handsome, charming man walked in the door as a marketing expert. His name is Ray Higdon ;). In a way he completely saved me from a life of an employee mentality and feeling like a “victim” my whole life. He believed in me and showed me what it was like to be my own boss, and I am so grateful.

When he introduced me to Numis Network I was so ecstatic! This is what I had been looking for. As someone with absolutely no professional warm market (all of my friends were broke college students), I needed something unique and different that I wouldn’t be embarrassed to share. I found something that I could actually approach my parents’ friends about!

I then realized, I have no experience with a network marketing company! What do I do to make the most of this network marketing business and never have to work in the corporate world ever?

The Steps to get Massive Exposure from Your Network Marketing Company:

Step 1: Do the basics to get started.

When I was out of people to talk to (which didn’t take me a long since my warm market was so small), I went to facebook and learned facebook marketing with just basic prospecting. If you don’t follow the basic, tedious steps of making a list, approaching your warm market, doing meetings, and prospecting every day how can you expect your team to?

There’s a reason every upline on the planet tells you to do these things, it’s because it works!

Step 2: Attend events and get your team to attend events.

Every network marketing company on the planet has major events. If you want the company to start recognizing you and get used to your face, go to them! Obviously the training and networking is invaluable, but so is the amount of exposure you can get. Find the founders and share with them your story. You may inspire them so they remember you.

Step 3: This is the most important step….PRODUCE!

When you produce in your network marketing company major things happen. You start to have everyone, not just the founders, recognize and promote you. People begin to look up to you, follow you and then it becomes easier and easier to get sign ups. The catch to this is that you have to struggle through the basics to get to this point, but once you do you’ll be so happy you did!

I recently hit 5 star director in Numis Network and I’m so excited!

I am so grateful to have gotten a degree because whether I wanted to admit it or not, it is something no one can take away from me. My team with Numis Network is also something no one can take away from me. I am so excited to keep building and create 10 millionaires by 2016 (that’s my goal). I know I will hit this goal because I have the support around me, and that’s most important.

How to Attract Your Perfect Prospect Through Smart Goal Setting

There’s a million and one ways to write goals and we’ve all heard each and every one of them a thousand times, but are you really practicing smart goal setting to attract the best prospect ever?

A big difference between regular, old “goal setting” and smart goal setting is asking the right questions! Ask and you shall receive as they say…

So why aren’t we asking the right questions? Why is it that so many people just “wing it” when they join a network marketing company, as opposed to taking the time to figure out what they REALLY want out of a business or a prospect. I strongly believe it’s because we don’t teach our downline the proper methods to practice smart goal setting.

Smart Goal Setting for the Perfect Prospect –

Here are the questions you should ask yourself on your goal sheet, and be as specific as possible!

Smart Goal Setting Question #1: What Occupation do I Enjoy Serving?

This was a formula I learned at the Noah St. John event. It was so amazingly powerful. When someone gets into a new business, they very rarely take the time to really ask themselves this question. Be as detailed as possible when you answer this. Notice it says “occupation” so this means what your prospect does for a living. Examples would be: network marketers, chiropractors, students, doctors, financial planners, lawyers, salon owners, etc.

This is the most important question when it comes to smart goal setting because it will determine who you attract into your business. When you figure this out, you target all of your marketing to this person.

For example, my ideal prospect is a smart professional in network marketing who is looking for some answers to their questions. I want my hub of information to be targeted at people who already like/enjoy network marketing and just want to learn some more cool stuff. Be extremely specific with your perfect prospect.

Smart Goal Setting Question #2: Why Do I Enjoy Serving Them?

Smart Goal Setting Question #3: What is Their Pain?

This question is awesome because it will help you market to your target. What pains do your perfect prospect experience on a daily basis? For example, are they feeling helpless and stuck in their life? Is your prospect scared to death that their job will be taken away from them or they don’t spend enough time with their kids?

Again, be extremely specific. The more detailed you get with these questions the easier your marketing will be.

Question #4: How Can I Help Solve It?

Question #5: What Media Can I Deliver that Solution In?

There are many different types of media: blogging, videos, emails, face to face, meetings, events, etc. Choose one that works best for you and your prospect and then set the goal of how many times a week you want to execute your plan.

Question #6: What Goal Do I Want These Prospects to Lead Me to and When?

Write all of these question down right NOW and spend some time really digging deep into answering them. This is smart goal setting from a marketing perspective and also helps you put your goals into action right away. Again, the more specific you get with these questions the easier it will be to market to your target audience.

Give Yourself Permission for Success, What I’ve Learned from Noah St. John Seminar to Apply to Your Business

This weekend Ray and I are speaking/attending a Noah St. John coaching program. If you don’t know about Noah St. John, he’s a motivational speaker and best selling author of a book called The Secret Code of Success. This is one of the best books Ray and I have ever read, and if you haven’t read it I sincerely recommend picking it up. This book is extremely unique in helping people succeed and get over their emotional blocks in their lives.

One of Noah St. John’s programs is titled “permission to succeed” because it gives you a step by step process to allow yourself to succeed, which is something most of us aren’t doing. If you’re not getting what you’ve wanted out of life or your not taking full advantage of your potential, this post will help.

Today is the first day of the seminar here in Cleveland, OH, my home town :), and I’ve already gotten so much out of it that I couldn’t wait to share.

Noah St. John’s iDream Solution:

Noah St. John uses the acronym DREAM to help you make a path for your life and and take action. The acronym helped me realize some things about my business that I could improve on and some areas in my life that I can improve. Although I’ve been successful in my network marketing and internet marketing businesses, I am always looking to improve because of the amazing “Ah Ha” moments I get out of these seminars. Every time I attend one, I get something new out of it and realize an area I can improve on.

I encourage everyone to attend events whenever possible so you can not only learn some great strategies, but also network the room and meet great people that have the same goals and have like minded thinking.

D = Destination

Destination is the where/when. Noah St. John uses the analogy of his seminar. If he told everyone, “OK, we’re going to have a seminar in Ohio. See you there!” Everyone would ask ok Noah, but where in Ohio and when is it? It’s the same thing as your goals. If you don’t give yourself a specific goal and date of completion, you get the opposite of destination which Noah describes as confusion.

Noah St. John describes how we become confused if our destination is cloudy. If you’re confused about where you’re going and what you’re doing, it’s probably because you don’t have a clear vision.

R = Reason

The Reason is our why. This is pretty self explanatory, but if you don’t have a why the opposite is that you become unmotivated. When you don’t have a specifice reason for doing what you do and have a strong motivation point, the result is you won’t do anything. If you are feeling unmotivated ask yourself if your why is strong enough.

If it’s not strong enough, you have 1 of 2 options. You can either change what you’re doing or really spend some time thinking about your why.

E = Entourage

Your entourage basically means your circle of friends. Your “loving mirrors,” as Noah likes to say, or the people that love you for you and support you, are a main part of your success. Your success doesn’t just come from you, it also comes from who you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with people who are better than you in marketing, sales, people skills, etc. you can learn from them and in return become better yourself.

A = Actions

Actions are the “what” of the puzzle, NOT the how. A great way to describe this is from the analogy of building a house. When you want to build a house your first question is “how.” But, your how is not as important as the what. The what is, “you need to dig a hole, buy building materials, hire a contractor, etc.”

So many people want to know the how when it’s not nearly as important as the what. There’s a million “how to’s” to digging a hole, but at first you need to know what to do in order to start the hows. Actions are extremely important and you can learn actions or “what to do” from other people or your entourage.

M = Methods – Noah St. John’s final piece of the dream puzzle.

Methods is the how. Noah St. John describes this as the last thing you need to worry about when going for your goals. If you follow the preceding process, the how to’s will just fall into place.

One of the major things I haven’t been doing with my business is making clear, precise goals about where I want to be. A couple of months ago I changed that practice, and began making a firm date in my mind of when I wanted to rank advance with my primary company and what I wanted my income to be. Since I’ve done that I rank advanced 2 times to one of the highest positions in the company (5 star director), and had one of my best months ever.

I highly recommend following these practices and you’ll be amazed at the success that will come your way.

How to Sustain Your Network Marketing Business over the Holidays

If you’ve ever been involved in a network marketing business for a few years, or know someone that has, you probably have noticed that there are two things that usually happen over the holidays:

1. Your business starts increasing because people want your product for gifts.


2. Your network marketing  business declines because people get “lazy” from too  much turkey.

Most people experience number 2 because they haven’t been trained properly on how to get passed this network marketing “downtime” we call the holiday season. Last year over Christmas and Thanksgiving my business sky rocketed because of a simple “holiday” formula I followed that kept everything in momentum. If you follow this you will be amazed at the results. If you don’t, your network marketing business will most likely decline and you’ll be disappointed you didn’t listen to me ;).

Sustaining a Network Marketing Business on Holidays:

Step 1: Keep the Consistency!

Sounds simple right? I’m sure everyone’s told you this one thing over and over again. I know that I’ve said this in every single blog post, article, conference call, webinar, or meeting that I do. If you stay consistent it will overpower every other obstacle you have standing in your way.

Unfortunately, the holidays seem to bring out the lazy in us and all we want to do is sit around for a month and a half, eat a bunch of food, sleep a lot and think about what we want our relatives to get us for Christmas! We are ALL guilty of this, and it needs to stop if we want to keep our network marketing business in momentum.

I’m definitely not saying that you should ignore family or relaxation time around the holidays, but I am saying that taking a full month and a half off is not the road heavy hitters take. What happens is we justify our behavior by saying to ourselves, “it’s ok, it’s the holidays I’m supposed to be lazy and not do my daily activities that get me closer to my goals. I’ll take this time off and then be full force right after new years.” If you’re upline is making a lot of money, ask them what their holiday routine is.

Our holiday routine is to work extra hard the month before the holiday and take a week off when Christmas rolls around. It might sound drab and like “too  much work,” but the reality is if you just stay super consistent, EVEN when you don’t feel like it, it’ll pay off in the long run. If you write your blog, make your calls and do your follow ups through the holidays you’ll be much happier.

Step 2: Make The Product in Your Network Marketing Business a Holiday Gift!

This will not work for every business, but for most it will be a piece of cake if you do it right. This tactic works perfectly for my primary company (Numis Network) so I’ve used it many times. If you’re in health and wellness or some type of internet/marketing based network marketing business, this might be more difficult.

When shopping for loved ones around the holidays, why not give them a gift that represents your company? Some people don’t do this out of fear that it seems too “pushy” or “salesy” around the holidays, but if you do this right your family and friends will be coming to YOU to hear more about your network marketing business, not the other way around.

If you have a product that’s great for the holidays, it has these three qualities:

1. It is unique and is hard to find elsewhere

2. It is something that catches people’s eyes

3. It creates an emotional response

For example, If I were to give my family members a forever crystal (a Numis product) it would catch their eye enough to wonder where I got it and would trigger them emotionally. By triggering them emotionally, I mean that they open their gift and have a positive emotional reaction such as, “this makes my heart melt!” Or “I love it! I need more!”

If you give the gift of the product your  network marketing business offers you’re almost guaranteed to have at least one family member or friend ask about where they can get more.

Here’s the catch –> Don’t be Mr. or Mrs. Salesman when giving the gift. Don’t start telling them how great the product is and how if they shop through you they can get it wholesale! Just give them the gift with no expectations and don’t say a word other than when they start asking you about it. That’s it :).

Step 3: Give Your Team an Incentive to Produce!

It’s great if you’re working your network marketing business diligently over the holidays, but what about your team? Most likely some of them are slacking and might need a boost of motivation to get going. If this is the case, offer an incentive!

Last year Ray and I put together a coaching package, along with some audios and books to be given away as a grand prize to the rep that could sign up the most people in a given month.

It doesn’t matter what you put together, as long as you do something to show your productivity and get your team moving! Go to Barnes n Noble, buy some books and audios, think of a contest and get it out to your team right away. Easy and extremely effective.

If you follow these 3 steps you’ll be amazed at the results you get from your network marketing business. Holidays can be the best time for your business or the worst, it’s up to you.

Our Honeymoon to Likuliku and Namale Resort in Fiji

Ray Higdon and I vanished for the past 11 days and went to two different tropical paradises, Namale Resort and Likuliku resort, in Fiji. As most of you know we just got married and it was our honeymoon, we had an absolute blast! Below is a video of our stay at the two resorts and some pictures.

This vacation was not only relaxing and fun, but we also learned a lot about our industry and it really made us appreciate what we do. Throughout the entire 11 days, we did absolutely nothing but enjoy each other, do fun activities and lay out in the sun.

The Power of Network Marketing Even in Namale & Likuliku

Although we did absolutely no work for 11 days, our teams kept growing and I was able to hit 5 star. We’ve created some great leaders that carried on our team even though we weren’t around to do so. That’s what network marketing is all about! This is why we participate in this industry and are able to have so much fun and meet all the great people that we meet.

I say this not to impress you, but to impress upon you the power of network marketing and the power of a little hard work and discipline. I could have quit this business a year ago when I had been at it for 6 months and nothing came of it. I could have quit when I was making $100 per week and was frustrated because no one was working. I could have quit when everyone said I would never make any money and that I should just stop trying. But guess what?? I didn’t because I knew I had a higher purpose and that if I stuck around and kept grinding, it HAD to work.

Did you know that people don’t fail in network marketing? They quit. Hopefully you’ll watch the video below about Namale Resort and Likuliku and it will drive you to want to live this life, and be the best that you can be. Ray and I always share things with you to give you hope so you know what’s possible. It’s never to show you what WE have, but to show you what you COULD have if you just follow what we’ve done with our network marketing business.
I am extremely grateful to my husband Ray for showing me this industry and it’s power and for always supporting me and being there not matter what, to my team because they truly are amazing people, and to everyone who supports the network marketing industry as a whole.

My message here with this blog (that I finally got to writing after getting through all of the wedding plans), is that if we can live this dream so can anyone. I’ve seen every single type of person with every single type of background make it in this industry, you just have to want it so badly it hurts and make the most out of the journey to freedom.

Amazing Multi Level Marketing Discovery: Why You’re Still Struggling!

Lately I’ve been making a lot of calls for my multi level marketing company to current reps in order to ask what their struggles/successes have been. When I write these blogs, I really want to give  my readers authentic, actual experienced problems and solutions from the field so that each time you visit here you really feel like you’ve learned something. I figured the best way to do that would be to consult my own team and other leaders in the multi level marketing industry.


I found an Amazing Multi Level Marketing Discovery:

After talking to reps in the field, top producers, and prospects over the past couple of weeks, I made an amazing conclusion that will end all multi level marketing problems if you really dig deeply into what I’m saying. This is what I’ve learned in a nut shell:

Everyone’s problems and objections seemed to be completely different. Most multi level marketers look for the answers outside of themselves, never reflecting their pain, struggle and frustration on the inside and always on the outside. They are constantly searching for the solution to their problems in something or someone else.

What I mean by this is that the blame is never focused within. This may not seem like a huge problem to you, but it is! I will keep hammering this into people’s brains until they get it, multi level marketing is a SIMPLE business just most reps tend to over complicate it.

Almost without exception, every time I asked a prospect or rep why they were struggling they blamed it on their upline in previous companies. Not directly, but indirectly saying they had no direction and weren’t given the proper guidance. I heard a lot of this in our conversations:

“Jess, the reason I struggled is because no one had told me how to get [leads, time management skills, coaching, accountability] etc.”

This is unacceptable if you want to be big time in this industry. The honest truth is that getting leads is easy. Coaching is easy and accountability is easy, if you do the simple daily activities each and every day. Unfortunately, the easy stuff is hard when no one is looking over your shoulder telling  you to do it each and every day. In school, we are told what to do and then rewarded for doing what we’re asked. In college and in the workplace it’s the same thing.

So what happens when someone enters the multi level marketing industry?

When people enter multi level marketing they don’t realize that a shift in their brain must occur. You must shift your employee mentality into an entrepreneur one if you wish to succeed. The “how to” does not come from anyone else, it comes from you and you alone. We ALL know what we have to do to succeed, and that’s talk to people and present the business.

If you’re not where you want to be it’s because of one of two things; You’re not talking to enough people or you’re talking too much when  you are talking to people. If you just say less to more people, your multi level marketing business will explode. Here are some ways to help you stay focused and on task:

1. Schedule your time –> give yourself specific times of day to do a task and make sure it’s completed within that time frame. For example, if you want to prospect between 10 Am and 11 Am, put it into your phone and set your timer.

2. Have an accountability partner –> until you learn how to hold yourself accountable and make that switch in your mind, it helps to have someone on your side, whether they’re in your multi level marketing business or not. An upline is a great idea for an accountability partner.

3. Work on motivational books/tapes/dvds for 30 minutes a day –> This will help you get over your employee mindset and slowly start to shift your mentality so you can be more accountable.

Numis Network Points Challenge – How to Win the Cruise!

As most of you know, a TON of Numis Network reps are participating in the points challenge (located in the backoffice under documents). The goal is to get 10 points per day, and if you stick to this method you are ultimately doing the exact daily routine you should be to build your business into a huge downline.

From this points challenge already, I’ve had several Numis Network reps sign up people after not producing for a long time. This is by far one of the best things Numis could have ever done for us. I will not tell you what the points list includes, since you can see it under documents in the backoffice, but I will give you a hint of what is NOT included:

1. Making a plan

2. Thinking about making a plan

3. Thinking about calling people

4. Writing a blog

5. Writing an article

Numis Network Cruise Contest

With the cruise contest you need a certain number of “points,” which include recruiting and selling accelerator kits, to qualify. After talking with a few reps that have already qualified for the cruise contest and for the silver eagle bonus, I wanted to share some strategies that I think will help big time with getting everyone in Numis Network a grand suite on that boat!

Tips to Get a Grand Suite the Numis Network Cruise:

1. Go to local restaurant owners and ask if they’d be open to a partnership where you bring in 15-20 people for lunch each week for meetings. Of course he/she will say yes! Then tell them you’re looking for a mutually beneficial relationship and ask if they’re open to taking a look at your business, then send them the video and follow up, follow up, follow up! Don’t forget to bring a coin when you go, it’s always great to have it as a visual for the owner to see.

This is a great tactic not only for bringing a new numis network rep into your business that happens to own a restaurant, but it will also keep you accountable to doing meetings each week.

2. Go back to your warm market!  Before you think to yourself (Oh god Jess please don’t say that), read this next part on how to approach them properly…

A great way to approach your warm market about Numis Network:

I learned this tactic last week from my good friend Lisa White who is taking the challenge with me on my team. She mentioned that she had a prospect that she hadn’t talked with in years, and the way she got him to watch the video was to say this:

“Hey (name), I was wondering if you could help me out? I’m participating in a challenge and part of it is getting people I know to take a look at a video, would you be open to that to help me out and let me know what you think?”

Pretty brilliant I thought! She has gotten multiple people to watch the video that way and is very close to some serious sign ups! Way to go Lisa!

3. Propsect on Facebook. Tomorrow night at 7 PM Eastern time, Numis Network has their monthly meeting where they are doing a presentation and then training right afterward in Tampa. It will be on ustream so I highly suggest jumping on if you are not in the near Tampa area. I will be doing a training on how I signed 50 people from facebook, that I did not know, for free!

Here are some basic ways to hit the Grand suite on the Numis Network cruise this January. If you are consistent with these tactics and don’t stray from your points, you will be amazed at the results you get!
